Angel's Memorial

RIP Dear Girl

Aug 1st 1996 - Jan 15th 2009

The photo below was Angel two days after she joined our Family in 2001

She was not much to look at back then.

Angel was manic and out of control and came to us with a list of warnings!

Look out!  Here comes trouble!

A couple of days as our new Girl in 2001 and Coney is feeling the strain!

I am not sure poor Coney ever knew what hit him when tiny Angel (hence the nick name 'BEAN') arrived at our home.

She was to take us all on a rollercoaster ride we would never forget.

2002 saw Angel starting to blossom but was also the year she became very poorly and had to have her pacemaker fitted to keep her alive.

She recovered well and never had a problem with her heart again.

By 2003 Angel had got up to all sorts.  Her training was going well and she was fitting in to life as a normal, happy and better trained dog and one of the things she enjoyed very much was playing in puddles.  This is something she NEVER gave up enjoying.

Angel was a very happy and playful girl even in old age.

2004  - Angel enjoyed a party and always wanted to be the centre of attention.

She quite often stole the limelight along with the odd sausage roll!

She seemed to have a knack of charming just what she wanted out of anyone.

This year she won Best Rescue Bitch at the Samoyed Association Rally.

We were very proud of our little monster in winning.

By 2005, Angel was a real beauty.  She had come such a long way by this time and had turned corners we thought were going to be impossible.  Once again, she won Best Rescue Bitch at the Samoyed Rally.

By 2006 Angel was starting to really chill out but always made sure everyone knew their places in our happy pack.

She was QUEEN of our pack without a doubt.

2007 and Angel as ever always had something to say - she always seemed to have the last word.

2008 - Angel turned 12 years old and she was one of the fittest and happiest older dogs you could wish to meet.

Angel led a very active and full life with us and attended many fun dog days out where she won lots of prizes - including

2nd Rescue Dog Over 7 (DBARC) and Cutest White Dog (DBARC), and Best Rescue Bitch (Calthorpe Dog Show).

She had regular long walks and always enjoyed day trips to special places with all her family.

2009 started well for Angel.  As ever she was bright eyed and bushy tailed, taking on life at top speed.

Nothing held Angel back, her boundless energy seemed endless.

The photo below was taken on the 4th Jan 2009, just a few days before Angel become unwell.

This day was sadly to be the last day we ever saw our beautiful Girl running, jumping and having fun.

Our Angel saw our Vet on the 7th of Jan 2009 as she was just a little down and being sick.

By the 9th of Jan 2009, Angel was having surgery to remove an obstruction from her system -

she had eaten part of a soft toy and our Angel never recovered.

On the 15th Jan 2009, she went to forever sleep and joined our Coney Bear.

Seeing Angel deteriorate from what she was to what she became was totally heartbreaking.

The photo below was to be the last I ever took before she went to forever sleep

We all love you and miss you
